What’s the Weather Like in Paris in Summer?

Expect plenty of sunshine and warm days.

June is typically mild and fresh, with average daytime temperatures ranging between 18–25°C (64–77°F). June weather in Paris is ideal for outdoor activities and exploring the city. However, it’s not uncommon to experience some rain showers, so it’s a good idea to pack a waterproof jacket or umbrella.

July and August are warmer, with temperatures often reaching 28–30°C (82–86°F) during the day, especially during heatwaves. Rain is possible, but usually comes in brief showers.

Evenings in peak summer are comfortable, ideal for dining al fresco or joining one of our evening bike tours.

Our top tip? Dress in light layers, wear sunscreen, and always carry a refillable water bottle — we know all the best fountains to keep you cool on the go.

Summer is a magical time in Paris. The weather is warm and inviting, terraces spill into the streets, and the city pulses with open-air festivals, live music, and cultural celebrations.

Parks become picnic paradises, the Seine comes alive with pop-up bars and boat rides, and some of the city's most beautiful sights are in their full summer bloom.

Of course, summer can also mean larger crowds – but that’s where we come in.

With our award-winning bike tours, you can skip the hassle and get straight to the magic with curated routes, hidden gems, and expert commentary from our friendly, passionate guides.

Paris in June

🎶 Music, Festivals & Late-Night Magic

Fête de la Musique (June 21, 2025) – Music on Every Corner

Every June 21st, the streets of Paris transform into one enormous, open-air stage. But in 2025, the Fête de la Musique feels especially electric. Whether it’s a string quartet in the Marais, a jazz trio near the Seine, or a DJ spinning outside Gare Saint-Lazare, this city-wide celebration is completely free and entirely unforgettable. This event is a vibrant expression of French culture, showcasing everything from punk to pop to piano serenades until the early hours.

Tip: Wander through the Latin Quarter or Canal Saint-Martin for the most eclectic (and energetic) performances.

Nuit Blanche (June 7, 2025) – Art After Dark

For one night only, Nuit Blanche (White Night) invites you to explore Paris in the glow of contemporary art, installations, and performances - all under the stars. Cultural institutions, city monuments, and urban spaces in central Paris stay open through the night, often in surreal or immersive formats. Expect surprises around every corner: glowing sculptures in public parks, film projections on historic facades, and experimental dance in metro stations.

Don’t Miss: This is a free, city-wide celebration. Plan your walking route or hop on a Vélib’ bike to see as much as possible between dusk and dawn.

We Love Green Festival (June 6–8, 2025) – Eco-Chic & Electric

Set in the leafy Bois de Vincennes, We Love Green blends music, sustainability, and creativity in one unforgettable weekend. With a commitment to eco-consciousness, the festival’s stages are solar-powered, the food is organic and features fresh produce, and the vibes are impeccable.

Expect a genre-crossing lineup of global artists, forward-thinking talks on climate and culture, and art installations that feel like nature’s own rave.

Solidays (June 27–29, 2025) – Music for a Cause

Paris closes out the month with a powerful beat. Solidays is more than just a music festival - it’s a vibrant movement supporting HIV/AIDS awareness and solidarity.

Held at the Hippodrome de Longchamp, it features major names (like Sean Paul and Kylie Minogue in past lineups) alongside up-and-coming voices. The mix of music, activism, and open-air celebration is something truly special, and it offers various ways to save money, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.

🎬 Cinema & Culture

Champs-Élysées Film Festival (June 17–24, 2025)

Imagine watching independent cinema right on the most famous avenue in the world. This annual celebration of French and American indie films includes world premieres, Q&As, and rooftop screenings, with many films featuring French subtitles to enhance accessibility for non-French speakers.

Insider Tip: Book early for rooftop screenings - the view is just as unforgettable as the films themselves.

Fête du Cinéma (June 29–July 2, 2025) – €5 Movie Tickets

Paris makes it easier than ever to catch a film. During La Fête du Cinéma, dozens of cinemas across the city offer €5 tickets for all showings, typically lasting around two hours - from blockbuster hits to hidden arthouse gems.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride, Parades & Inclusivity

LGBTQ+ Pride March (June 28, 2025) – Love in Every Color

Paris Pride is more than just a parade - it’s a joyous, defiant, and radiant celebration of equality. The March des Fiertés will flood the streets with rainbows, music, and solidarity, embodying an extravagant lifestyle that celebrates diversity and vibrant living. Expect floats, dance, drag performances, and a loving crowd that stretches from Montparnasse through République.

Planning Tip: Arrive early and wear comfortable shoes - and something bold!

Pride Week Events (All Month)

From queer film nights to talks, workshops, and pop-up exhibitions, Pride Week lights up venues across the city. Whether you're part of the community or an ally, there’s space for everyone to celebrate.

🛍️ Shopping & Fashion

Summer Sales Begin (June 25, 2025)

Paris’ summer soldes are legendary - and the deals in 2025 are set to be especially irresistible. From designer boutiques in the Marais to department stores like Galeries Lafayette and Le Bon Marché, discounts can run up to 70% off.

Pro tip: The first few days have the best selection. Look for “Soldes” signs in shop windows from June 25 onwards.

For budget-friendly shopping, consider visiting local markets or grocery stores to prepare meals instead of dining out.

Paris Fashion Week – Menswear (June 24–29, 2025)

Fashionistas, take note! Paris Men’s Fashion Week arrives at the end of the month, and even if you don’t have an invitation to the shows, you’ll see runway-ready looks everywhere from cafes to the métro.

Where to Spot Street Style: Around Palais de Tokyo, Rue Saint-Honoré, and the Jardin des Tuileries.
